Amazon Blocks Meta’s Muse AI Agent From Shopping — Just as It Outpaces ChatGPT in Downloads

Amazon has officially blocked Meta’s new Muse AI agent from shopping on amazon.com on users’ behalf, citing unauthorized access to account pages and purchase history, plus the bot’s failure to identify itself while browsing. Ironically, Muse has only been out for ten days — and its downloads already beat ChatGPT’s launch pace, hitting No. 1 on the US App Store. The agentic shopping war has begun, and Shopify is opening its doors to Muse instead.
